WOHFILAMNV - Photos of 2nd charity dance
Spearheaded by its tireless leader, Dr. Cora Gregorio, The World of Hope, Fil-Am, Inc. of Las Vegas sponsored its second charity dance on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Ballroom Addiction Dance Studio. Considering that the venue had to be changed at the "last minute" did not deter the dancers from showing their support. Many more dance aficionados showed up which prove that the Filipino heart feels for, and are willing to support, the less fortunate in the Philippines.
The angels must have been at work to provide all the elements of what makes for a good, rocking party: floor and music. They even assigned one of their angels, Leah, DJ duties the whole night. How good was the party? When nobody leaves until the last music is played, you know you have a good party. This is what people will remember and they will want more. Sieg, the designated DJ for March has been put on notice - match it at the least or else...Good luck, Sieg, you need it. ;)
Cora announced that the dances will repeat every second Saturday of every month at Ballroom Addiction. This is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with more people and make friends. Some of the happiest, friendliest people, are dancers. They are approachable. Want to learn a step you just saw? Simple, ask! Nine out of ten you'll get the answer on the spot.
It is great that Dan and Cory are part of the group that Cora assembled. They are always seen leading and teaching the latest line dance moves. Shy to dance? Try doing a few steps following Dan and Cory as they glide smoothly on the floor and you will be tripping the light fantastic before long. Remember, there are only four ways to move in dancing: forward, backward, side to the left, and side to the right. Everything else is window dressing. Now, you say, why did I not think of that? Yes, dancing could be easy and practice makes it perfect (No? OK, at least acceptable).
Everyone is encouraged to inquire at Ballroom Addiction about their classes. Rosemary and Ron are great to talk to and will make dancing not intimidating at all.
